When you record speech using SCT, the audio is processed temporarily so the app can generate a transcript and analyse speaking speed, filler words, and clarity-related patterns. These recordings are not stored permanently by the website after processing. SCT is designed to support private speaking practice without building a long-term voice archive on external servers.
Local data storage
Speaking history, practice results, and certain preferences are stored locally in your browser using local storage. This means most of your session history stays on your own device rather than being stored by us remotely. You can remove this data at any time by clearing your browser storage or browser data.
Cookies and analytics
SCT uses essential technologies required for the website to function correctly, such as saving certain preferences and supporting core site behaviour. We also use Google Analytics to understand general site usage, such as page visits and overall engagement, so we can improve performance, reliability, and content.
